Product Description

Flamefighter 3-in-1 Alarm

For boats, campervans, caravans and baches: smoke, heat and CO in one alarm.

🚀 Launch price
$69.99 RRP $79.99

Until 21st October 2026, while launch stock lasts.

In a house you have room for separate alarms. In a boat cabin, campervan, caravan or bach, you're often cooking, heating and sleeping in the same few square metres, which is exactly where you need all three types of protection. It's also where you have the least space to fit them.

Flamefighter 3-in-1 Detector Main

Unbeatable Value

It's the only 3-in-1 alarm in New Zealand priced the same as, or less than, a 2-in-1.

Option What you get Typical NZ price
Three separate alarms Smoke + heat + CO, but three units on a small ceiling $150+
A 2-in-1 combo alarm Smoke + CO, no heat detection $63–$71
Flamefighter 3-in-1 Smoke + heat + CO in one unit $69.99

Why a 3-in-1 comes into its own

☁️

Carbon Monoxide is the big risk

Diesel heaters, gas cookers, generators, engine exhaust and a boat moored beside a running engine can all produce CO. It's invisible and odourless, and in a sealed cabin or van with the windows shut at night, levels can build fast while you sleep.

🏡

Baches get forgotten

They sit empty for months, then come alive for a long weekend with the fire, gas heater and gas hob all running at once. Old flues, dusty heaters and a wood burner that hasn't been swept since last summer are prime CO and fire risks.

🌡️

Heat detection solves false-alarms

When the cooker is a metre from the smoke alarm, smoke-only alarms go off every time you fry breakfast. The heat sensor keeps watch on the galley, kitchen and heater area by responding to high temperatures and rapid rises.

🔥

Photoelectric smoke sensor

Catches smouldering fires early, such as wiring faults, chargers and 12V systems, before they take hold.

3-in-1 Detector Angle View

Built for life away from the mains

🔋

10-year sealed lithium battery

It needs no wiring, draws nothing from your house batteries, and never needs a battery swap. The CO sensor is rated for 10 years too.

🛠️

Two-screw install

Fits a cabin ceiling, van roof liner, caravan wall or bach ceiling with no electrician.

📏

Compact Design

At 115mm across and 53mm deep, so it fits tight overhead spaces.

🔊

85dB+ siren & Hush button

Loud enough to wake everyone aboard or asleep. Hush button silences a nuisance alarm with one press.

✅

Certified Safety

Tested to EN14604 (smoke), EN50291 (CO) and BS5446-2 (heat). Meets NZ tenancy smoke alarm requirements.

3-in-1 Detector Front Profile

Where to fit it

Boats

In the main cabin near sleeping berths, away from the companionway so drafts don't dilute CO readings.

Campervans

On the ceiling between the sleeping area and the cooker or diesel heater.

Caravans

Centrally on the ceiling, clear of the cooktop's immediate steam path.

Baches

In the living area near heaters, plus one outside bedrooms. Add another in any sleepout.

Also ideal for sleepouts, cabins and tiny homes.

FAQ's

Do the Interconnectable alarms connect using Wifi?

While you may see interconnectable smoke alarms sold as Wi-Fi compatible, most interconnectable alarms do not use or require a Wi-Fi connection. They are connected using a Radio Frequency (RF) Transmitter.

The neighbour has the same alarms will they interfere with each other?

While all the alarms use the same frequency (433.92MHz), they are uniquely coded to each other via the master fire alarm when you first set them up. So don't worry—your neighbour won't be setting off your alarms!

How far apart can I place the alarms?

You can place the alarms up to 20 meters apart between in each alarm within a range of 100 meters. Large objects like thick walls will slightly effect this range.

Smoke alarms should be replaced every 10 years.

Not exactly. While most alarms state 10 years on the box, this depends on several factors, like how many times the alarm goes off / alarms are tested, as well as ambient temperature. So, to be more precise, the alarm batteries will last up to 10 years.

Regular testing is always advised, and a low battery warning will activate to let you know when replacement is required. PSL Fire & Safety offer a 5 year warranty on all 10 year smoke alarms.

You sell a remote control what does that do?

The remote is purely for testing the alarm rather than pressing the test button on the alarm, which is inaccessible to many people. The remote is NOT required to set up the interconnectable alarms.

Where should I install the smoke alarms.
