As a firefighter, I have been to too many structure fires recently and a lot of these people were lucky to get out alive. The common theme was that most of these people had insufficient alarms that couldn't be heard in time. I decided I would upgrade my own house incase we were ever in that situation. Yes interconnected alarms were more expensive, but I thought to myself, what if the fire is in my kids room and I couldn't hear it because we are too far away or they closed their door. This could easily be avoided and gives me peace of mind. I decided to go with the PSL ones as they supply some of our gear at the station so I know its going to be reliable vs the cheaper mitre 10/trade depot alternative with a random brand names which may or may not have the same quality controls.

Easy to interconnect. Screws aren’t strong as had three break.
Fast delivery, easy to install and they all go off at the same time which is good. Setup is simple to get them all connected before installing them. If you need to add more it's also pretty simple.

Found process to connect alarms easy. Quality of screws poor as kept breaking so used my own.
I’ve had these smoke alarms installed for a few weeks and they are working well thus far…and great service.
I bought two of these last year and now they have started randomly going off in the middle of the night and will need replacing. Very disappointed!
Have tried other smoke detectors and they often don't last anywhere near the time they should.

Initial contact and enquiries very pleasant and polite. Sales and after sales service was excellent. Product set up (3x Units) easy. Product delivery very fast. I highly recommend dealing with PSL and will do so in the future. At this point in time, apart from testing the units have not been needed, Thankfully.
