We recently had a visit from Alistair Macquarie and Shane Napa from the Teimurimotia Volunteer Fire Brigade in Rarotonga. They were visiting New Zealand purchasing equipment for their brigade.
It was great to hear how they run the brigade in Rarotonga and the challenges they face being a near self funding volunteer fire service and the can do attitude they have.
With this in mind it was great to be able to make a donation of Bullard and Chieftain helmets to the brigade which are in the process of being shipped over to Rarotonga.
