The Advanced electronics with a Photoelectric smoke sensing chamber provide early detection of fires.

The Flamefighter Mini 10YR Smoke Alarm is a photoelectric 3V Lithium cell (sealed in) smoke alarm with a battery life of up to 10 years. With the photoelectric technology this alarm is more sensitive to detecting slow smouldering fires which may smoulder for hours before bursting into flames.
